The 326 km stage between Bayonne and Luchon included the climbs Aubisque, Tourmalet, Aspin, Peyresourde.
Ottavio Bottecchia finished the stage after riding 15 and half hour (15hr 24min 25sec), he reached the finish almost 19 minutes ahead of the 2nd places Lucien Buysse.
1924 was the winning year of Bottecchia, he also managed to wear the yellow jersey during the entire race.
