Due to hard weather conditions (snow, as usual at the Giro d’Italia) organizers altered the program of the 13th stage, which is now 8 km shorter.
The top of Grand St Bernard Pass is no longer part of the route, although the ascent is not entirely out of the program, but relegated to an krdinary 1st category climb.
This means also, that Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Stage 19) will be the Cima Coppi of this year’s Giro d’Italia.
