Oropa at Giro d’Italia

Oropa (or the  sanctruary of Oropa), located in Piedmont, was included in the program of Giro d’Italia six times. First time in 1963, when Vico Taccone was the first at the top of the ascent to the sanctuary. Last time it appeared in the program in 2017, when with his stage victory, Tom Dumoulin extended his lead in the general classification.
