This category is about the most interesting  stories from the past of road cycling races. Mostly stories from the first 2-3 decades in the history of this sport. The posts of this category are usually medium lenght articles and focusing mostly only one event.

Longer blog entries (cca. over 1200 words), which require deeper research and more creative energy might be avaible for  Petreon patrons of the blog only.

Or sometimes mentioned as ICONIC CYCLING IMAGES, are significantly shorter stories, mostly only  the most important  informations about a very well known, very popular legendary cycling images. Usually information-rich desriptions of famous vintage cycling photograph, which everybody has seen several times already, but knows just only little about the story behind the picture.

Tourmalet was included in the program of Tour de France 1937The extraordinary history of road cycling includes  Not only mountains, like Alpe d’Huez, Mont Ventoux, Tourmalet or Monte Zoncolan, but other places, like the start of the first Tour de France, or the famous Arenberg Forest of the iconic one-day race Paris-Roubaix.  The articles of this category are usually medium lenght too, but some of longer entries (cca. over 1200 words) might be avaible only for Patreon patrons of the blog.
