Two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard will participate in Vuelta a Espana 2023 (between 26 August and 17 September 2023). His team, Jumbo -Visma is targeting a "grand tour triple", after teo of the three cycling grand tours were won by one of their riders. (Earlier this year, Primoz Roglic won Giro d'Italia.)
The race starts with a team time trial on 26th August in Barcelona. The route will include, among other ascents, Tourmalet (Stage 13) and Angliru (Stage 17).
According to the latest updates (24 July 2023), fans can see riding the kast grand tour of the year also Enric Maas (Movistar), Geraint Thomas (INEOS Grenadiers), Richard Carapaz (EFEducation-EasyPost), Remco Evenepoel (Soudao-Quick Step) Gulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek), Marc Soler (UAE TEeam Emirates) or David de la Cruz (Astana Qazaqstan), among others.
