Undoubtebly, the Tour de France with its rich history plays a central role in this quest, therefore majority of the posts here on PelotonTales are, of course, about the most famous cycling race of the world. But stories from the past of the other two grand tours (Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana) appear among the blog entries  too. And of course, the fascinating moments in the history of the most beloved one-day races.

PelotonTales blog tends to focus on the cycling stories rather from the first half of the 20th century. (There is a special project of the blog, recently launched, putting the importance of bicycle in the late 19th/early 20th century in  wider context.) But it pays attention also to the biggest legends of road cycling races mostly active in the second half of the 20th century.

So, there are still many fascinating stories to discover in the deep well of the past and share with you.
