Living the high life in the mountains
Fernand Moulet is one of the cyclists who is immortalized by only one iconic cycling image. He was a French rider and participated at the Tour de France in the 1920s.
The grumpy cyclist
We don't know much about Giusto Cerutti, but he definitelly had a bad day at the Tour de France in 1928.
Starstruck cyclists
Celebrities are often visiting the Tour de France, like did for example Josephine Baker several times in the 1930s.
And the riders just loved it.
Just look at Romain Maes, the cyclist so close to her!
Just a casual fun moment from 1923
Sometimes you don't need muchtk be happy. Just a nice sunny day, dryroads and.. and a fancy little parasol.
Aren't they chic? Yes, they are.
A day worth to celebrate
Nicolas Frantz won the Tour de France in 1927 and took the lead in the general classification right on the first day also nesxt year. Thus, he managed to wear the jellow jersey (ironically, on black&white pictures it looks usually darker) through the entire race. But this wasn't that easy ride, how it looked at the first glance.
Drinking champagne at the end of the day was highly deserved.
